FAQ
Who Are We?
We are a group of families who came together during the pandemic to create a unique and memorable High Holidays experience when we couldn’t be together in a traditional synagogue setting. This will be our third year of gathering to celebrate and worship together.
Where Will Services be Held?
Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur Services will be held outdoors, in a tented structure, at The Lodge at Little Seneca Creek in Boyds, MD. This offers a beautiful setting for our services. Convenient and ample parking is available.
Will This be a Safe Gathering?
Our goal is to create an outdoor worship space with plenty of room for families to spread out and connect with the natural beauty around us.
How Long Will Services Last?
That’s really not the right question to be asking here, but who are we to judge? Our services will likely run between one to two hours.
Where Will We Sit?
Seating is avilable for the service and for kiddush on Rosh Hashanah.
Who Will Be Conducting the Service?
This service will be lay-led. No Rabbis or Cantors or anyone official. Just good people who want to share a meaningful experience with other good people. There will be many opportunities for participation throughout the service.
Do I Need to Become a Member of the Congregation?
No, there is no membership fee.
How Much are High Holiday Tickets?
There will be a small fee to cover the rental cost of the pavilions. Optional catering is available for Rosh Hashanah Kiddush Luncheon and Yom Kippur Break the Fast for an additional fee. (More information on catering coming soon)
How Much will the Food Cost?
Once we have a better idea of the number of people who wish to participate, we can provide an exact cost, but we’re not making any money here, folks. Just trying to coordinate and make things easy for everyone.
